Doug is an attorney licensed to practice law by the State of Illinois. Doug's practice focuses on providing comprehensive and creative estate planning in an understandable manner. Doug also practices in the area of estate administration, where he enjoys providing clear and understandable guidance to family members following the loss of a loved one.
Doug is a member of the Winnebago County Bar Association and has served as President of the Bar Association's Estate Section. He has given a number of speeches and presentations on estate planning topics. He has also authored a legal article which appeared in the DuPage County Bar Association Brief and co-authored 3 other legal articles which have appeared in the Illinois State Bar Association Educational Law and Administrative Law section newsletters, respectively.
Doug graduated from Wheaton College (cum laude) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical and Theological Studies. Doug graduated from Northern Illinois University College of Law with honors (magna cum laude) and was awarded the Hellene & Edward Fioretti Award for excellence in legal ethics. While in law school, Doug worked as a law clerk for Northern Illinois University's Office of General Counsel and was an assistant editor for the Law Review.
Doug is married to Amy, who is a stay-at-home mom. Doug and Amy live in Rockford and have 3 children: Caleb, Tessa and David. Doug is actively involved in his church (Harvest Bible Chapel of Rockford) and serves on the Elder Board there.
